Historical Tourism Fort Vredeburg in Yogyakarta

Vredeburg is a historical travel place in Yogyakarta. Location on road of Mallioboro, making this fortress much visited by tourists. Vredeberg fort located in front of the Gedung Agung and the Palace Sultanate of Yogyakarta, precisely on Jl. Jend. A. Yani, No. 6 55 224 Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Vredeburg was built in 1765 by the Netherlands Government, as a place to withstand an attack from Kraton Yogyakarta. Vredeburg surrounded by a moat surrounding, rectangular-shaped fortress have watchtowers at its four corners and stronghold that allow Netherlands soldiers to walk around while on guard and fired a shot if needed.

Fort Vredeburg Yogyakarta, originally named "Fort Rustenburg" which have meaning "Fortress Resorts", built by the Dutch in 1760 on the ground Keraton. From Adisucipto Airport :


Train Prameks (IDR 10,000 passing rate every 30 minutes) or Madiun Jaya (prices fare IDR. 20,000). To reach the prices counter , walk through the exit in the form hallway. Get off at Tugu station, then walk to the south (approximately 1000 meters) along Path of Malioboro.
 
Bus (Trans Jogja) IDR 3.000 prices (every 15 minutes) and get off at the station Post. To reach the counter Trans Joga, walk through the exit in the form hallway.

Taxi (price around IDR 40,000). if you use a taxi better choose taxis metered (eg Jazz telephone Taxi 373737). Average taxi airport did not want to metered, so you must be very clever bargaining

From Tugu Station
